About Daraja Impact
Daraja Impact is a 5-year project that seeks to support Tanzanian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through the provision of capital and technical assistance to advance economic inclusion and empowerment for women and youth. Daraja Impact (or the “project”) is funded by the Swiss Confederation, represented by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs acting through the Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania (“Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania”) and is implemented by Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (or “SEAF”) in partnership with AlphaMundi Foundation (or “AMF”)
Position Overview
The Investment Analyst will support the investment team in sourcing, evaluating, structuring, and monitoring investments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional seeking exposure to impact investing and SME finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare investment memos, briefing notes, and investor materials, including proposals and concept notes.
- Conduct financial analysis and develop financial models for potential investments.
- Support due diligence by reviewing financial, operational, legal, and market information.
- Support portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, and reporting.
- Contribute to pipeline development, screening, and assessment of potential investees.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Excellent proposal and report writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
