About Us

Entrepreneurs For Sustainable Growth
Daraja Impact is a 5-year project that seeks to support Tanzanian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through the provision of capital and technical assistance to advance economic inclusion and empowerment for women and youth. Daraja Impact (or the “project”) is funded by the Swiss Confederation, represented by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs acting through the Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania (“Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania”) and is implemented by Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (or “SEAF”) in partnership with AlphaMundi Foundation (or “AMF”)

Our Approach
Daraja Impact will implement a comprehensive approach that includes providing flexible, impact-linked financial instruments to catalyze private sector funding, offering business support services such as investment readiness and impact management training, and delivering tailored post-investment technical assistance to ensure the sustained growth and success of investees.

Qualifications
Eligible Businesses
For Daraja Impact
To qualify for Daraja Impact, businesses must:
- Eligible SMEs must have leadership or significant involvement of women/youth and emphasize innovation and scalability.
- They should be willing to integrate impact management and gender equity principles into their operations.
- Sharing costs and engaging in CEED capacity building may be required for certain enterprises.
- Basic eligibility includes having over two years of business operation and at least two years of audited financials.
- Formal registration with BRELA, possess a business license, and have Tax Identification Number (TIN)
